1. What are contests?
Contests are stock picking competitions that run for a limited duration, ranging from 2 weeks to 6 months. Joining a contest is optional and does not effect your StockFriend portfolio performance. It's all about winning and fun!

2. How to Trade?
The are four basic ways to trade stocks: buy, sell, short, and cover. When buying a stock, you are taking a long position with the hope that the price per share will increase. When you sell a stock, you close that long position. Short is selling stock that you do not own with the hope that the price per share will decrease so that you can later buy the stock back at a lower price. When you buy the stock back to close your short position, it is called "covering" your short position.

3. How do I Join?
The contest will be a Group play. To join a contest, first you must join the contest group. Each contest has a group. If you're a member of contest group then click "Join this contest". It's just that easy.

4. What can I win?
Depending on the contest, prizes may include free T-Shirt, cash rewards, I-Pod, trips, or whatever else we can dream up. Joining a contest is free. Please read the specific contest's rules for more information.

Description of Contest:

The Contest is a stock trading game that provides Participants with a fictional trading account, One Million (1,000,000) fictional dollars and the fictional ability to trade individual stocks on the NYSE, NASDAQ and/or AMEX exchanges. Our goal is to represent real-life trading as closely as possible. However because we aren't actually involved in the market (and thus aren't influencing it), there are some restrictions that don't exist in a real-life trading account.

Brief Rules:

Rule#1: To Enter the contest, participants must be a free member of StockFriend then Join the contest group. Only contest group member are eligible to play the contest.

Rule#2: After you have joined the contest, each participant is given a new fund($1M, the fund name will be user_contestname). All contest picks must add to this fund.

Rule#3: Each participant must pick not less than 5 stocks, all different, can buy long or sell short. All trades made via the Web Site will receive delayed prices (usually 15-20 minutes delayed) as long as the trade is placed after 9:30 a.m. PST and before 4:00 p.m. ET. Orders placed after hours will be transacted at the opening price of the next regular trading hours.

Rule#4: All stock picks must be hold at least one day or more, you can buy long or sell short.

Rule#5: Choose a stock from NASDAQ, NYSE or AMEX, the maximum amount of one stock that you can buy is limited to $200,000. Only stock over $3 per share are allowed to be traded. Penny stocks are more prone to manipulation from stock promoters and can have erratic trading patterns. It's for this reason that we don't allow them in our stock picking contest.

Rule#6: Only one play per person. We'll be checking all the player's IP addresses, and players found with 2 or more different usernames playing the game will be automatically banned from the game.

Rule#7: All stock splits, consolidations/reverse stock splits, takeovers, mergers and delistings will be accounted for at the end of each day.

Rule#8: This contest of skill is open to everyone 18 years of age or older who resides in USA.

Rule#9: - The Final Prize:
The top fund person as of 4:00 PM ET on 06/22/2007 who meets all of the entry requirements will be the grand prize winner

1st Place: $300, that will be paid by Paypal,
2nd Place: $200, that will be paid by Paypal
3rd Place: $100, that will be paid by Paypal
All new player will receive 1 free StockFriend T-Shirt

The winner will be notified within 7 days after the ending date by email. if no response is received by us, we will move down to the next eligible winners and allow them claim the prizes.

Rule#10: No purchase necessary. Contest rules are subject to change without notice.
